Police Recover Stolen Rifles, Arrest Suspect

Winnipeg Police CrestA 49-year-old man is facing numerous weapons charges after Winnipeg police say he stole firearms and quickly sold them.

Police say two rifles were stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Smith Street on September 9.

The suspect was tracked down and arrested by police on September 14 in the 200 block of Main Street.

The stolen firearms were also recovered.

Douglas Langan remains in police custody.
