Community centres looking for funding from the City of Winnipeg have until November 1, 2013 to get their applications in.
The Community Centre Renovation Grant Program has doled out $1.3 million in renovation cash since it began.
“Community centres provide people of all ages with the opportunity to pursue a healthy lifestyle,” said Mayor Sam Katz. “This program ensures volunteer-run boards have assistance to complete repairs so they can focus on programming priorities.”
Centres who apply can be awarded up to $50,000 to cover the cost of renovating their facilities to main such things like flooring, doors or ceilings.
