University of WinnipegThe University of Winnipeg has been awarded a $516,289 grant to further its research in psychology, Mennonite studies/history and economics.

The federal grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) promotes and supports post-secondary-based research and training in the humanities and social sciences.

“This is indeed exciting news,” said Dr. Jino Distasio, U of W’s associate vice-president, research and innovation. “I am regularly impressed by the passion with which UWinnipeg faculty embrace research on our campus. Research in the social sciences and humanities builds understanding and, in the process, changes the way we think, how we live, and how we interact with each other and the world around us.”
