University of Winnipeg WesmenBaseball season may be over for the Winnipeg Goldeyes, but Shaw Park will still be put to good use on Saturday.

That’s when the University of Winnipeg Wesmen varsity men’s baseball team will host their third annual Wesmen Baseball Marathon Game.

From 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the team will raise awareness and funds for their baseball program while continuously engaging in play on the field.

“We are ecstatic to put on this great event once again and have the chance to expose our program to the public,” said Wesmen baseball head coach Mike Krykewich. “We encourage everyone to come out and join us for this event and have a chance to play in a great facility like Shaw Park.”

Admission to the event is free, but fans can pledge their support by making a donation. A silent auction, batting cages, radar gun contests and other baseball-related activities will round out the day.
