Two women have died after a two-vehicle crash on Gateway Road near Budden Drive on Saturday night.
At around 9:30 p.m., a Ford Explorer travelling northbound on Gateway veered into the southbound lanes and collided with a Pontiac Grand Am.
The two Winnipeg women in the Grand Am, a 23-year-old and 42-year-old, were taken to hospital in critical condition where they later died.
The 28-year-old woman and 31-year-old man in the Explorer were treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Winnipeg police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact investigators at (204) 986-6271 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
The names of the deceased aren’t being released.
