Winnipeg Goldeyes LogoWinnipeg Goldeyes fans love to pack the house on game days.

The baseball club on Monday revealed that an average of 5,800 fans turned out during each game this past season. That puts the Goldeyes on top to lead all 48 independent baseball teams in North America in average attendance after a one-year hiatus as the fan-drawing leader.

“Our fans continue to prove why they are the best in independent baseball,” Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier said.

A total of 276,359 fans watched the Goldeyes at Shaw Park this season.
