Hunting enthusiasts will share their passion for the sport during the fifth annual Provincial Hunting Day on Saturday, September 28.
The Manitoba Wildlife Federation (MWF) is hosting family activities at Oak Hammock Marsh from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those who attend will be able to participate in archery, air rifle and atlatl shooting ranges. Skinning and hunting demos are also planned, along with hunting seminars and exhibitors.
Free lunch for the first 500 people will be provided by Danny’s Whole Hog BBQ
“The number of exhibitors has grown, and visitors can look forward to a variety of fun and exciting demonstrations,” said Carolyn Kosheluk, program manager with MWF. “Provincial Hunting Day reminds us of the significant contribution hunters make to conservation programs in Manitoba, and the need to promote and preserve this rich tradition.”
