Four men are in police custody after two robberies in Winnipeg on Wednesday night.
At around 11 p.m. a 28-year-old man walking on Donald Street was approached by three men. One of the men had his face covered with a bandana and confronted the victim with a weapon, while the other two went through the man’s pockets and stole various items.
Shortly after, two men and two boys were confronted in the 1200 block of St. Mary’s Road at around 11:40 p.m. One of the suspects had his face covered with a banana and stole items from the victims while producing a weapon.
In both incidents, the suspects took off in a van.
Police stopped a van matching the description of the thieves just before midnight near St. Mary’s Avenue and Eugenie Street. Four men were arrested and taken into custody.
No injuries were reported in either robbery.
