How much do Winnipeggers pamper their pets? Not as much as those living in Regina, according to new data just released.
Amazon.ca has compiled sales data for pet items purchased through its site beginning in March of this year.
When it comes to pampering their pets, the residents of Regina are ahead of the pack. The city was ranked highest for pampering their cats and aquatic animals. The city also bought the most toys overall for their pets.
Winnipeg ranked eighth on the list, behind Vancouver, Saskatoon, Ottawa, London, Edmonton and Calgary, respectively.
“We know our customers love their pets and we hope those who take pride in spoiling their pets will enjoy this fun look at where some of the most devoted pet owners reside,” said Andrea Leigh, senior manager for Amazon.ca.
Gatineau, Quebec and Kitchener, Ontario rounded out the top 10.
