Calling all Manitoba singers and songwriters — your talents are needed!
Organizers of the 2014 Power Smart Manitoba Winter Games are looking for a theme song as Winkler prepares to host the games in March.
The multi-sport event will take place in Morden, Stanley, Winkler from March 2-8, 2014 and include 10 sport competitions, along with cultural and musical activities and opening and closing ceremonies.
The contest is open to all Manitoba artists. The winner will receive a professional recording of their song, have their song played during the ceremonies and medal presentations, have a chance to get their song aired on radio, and will have an opportunity to perform during the week of the Games.
To submit your song:
- Send a demo in MP3 format with lyrics on or before October 25, 2013 to manitobagamesthemesongcontest@gmail.com
- State the band/artist name in subject line and on lyric sheet
- Provide a brief biography
- Include information for your website/Facebook page or someplace where you or your band can be heard
- Please include contact information including name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
Winner will be announced October 31, 2013 and all entries will be notified by email.
