A send-off dinner for retiring Manitoba Liberal leader Jon Gerrard is planned to recognize his 15 years of service to the party.
The tribute dinner and dance on November 14 will also see former Prime Minister Jean Chretien deliver the keynote address at a VIP reception.
Gerrard, who was elected leader and MLA for River Heights in 1998, is also an environmentalist and a leading advocate for saving Lake Winnipeg from deterioration and for protecting endangered species.
Tickets to the dinner and dance at the Fort Garry Hotel are $150, or $100 for the VIP reception, and can be purchased online.
Manitoba Liberals will hold their leadership convention on October 26.
