Former Leaf Rapids Employee Charged with Fraud

RCMP Crest LogoA former employee of the Town of Leaf Rapids has been charged with fraud.

Between July 9-15 of this year, RCMP say the town’s cheques were stolen, forged and cashed totalling about $2,100.

Town officials alerted RCMP on August 23 when the suspicious banking activities were noticed.

William Horodecki, 34, of Leaf Rapids, has been charged with two counts of fraud, two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of forgery and two counts of using a forged document.

He has been released on a promise to appear in Leaf Rapids court on November 7.
