Two teen boys were killed in a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of MacGregor on Saturday afternoon.
RCMP say an eastbound Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner pickup truck rear-ended a car travelling the same direction at around 4 p.m.
Four people were in the car, including two men who were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 17-year-old boy from Austin was pronounced deceased at the scene, while a 14-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
The 45-year-old Elie man driving the truck wasn’t injured.
RCMP are contemplating laying charges in the crash and say alcohol is not considered a factor.
