Police Seek Suspicious Man Who Approached Girl

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are looking for a suspicious man they say approached a girl in St. Boniface last week.

An 11-year-old girl was walking in the area of Rue Des Meurons and Debuc Street on the morning of October 2 when she was approached by an unknown man. Police say the man asked if she had any drugs and then attempted to look in the girl’s backpack.

The victim kicked the man and then fled to school where she notified staff.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 50-years-old, wearing a green hoodie with the hood up.
