A one-day conference to motivate more than 2,000 Manitoba students to volunteer in their communities is coming to Winnipeg.

Count Me In will be in the city February 24, 2014 at the Centennial Concert Hall. It’s the first time the national youth-run organization will be in Winnipeg to empower and inspire Grade 7-12 students to take on a helping role.

“This is the biggest announcement in the history of Count Me In,” said Shane Feldman, the 18-year-old founder of Count Me In. “It is an exciting milestone for us as an organization, a movement, and a generation. Our team is committed to inspiring students from coast to coast in the coming years, motivating teens across the country to volunteer in their local communities.”

The first ever Count Me In Winnipeg will be hosted by two-time nominated Gemini actress Ashley Leggat, who stars in the award winning series “Life With Derek.”

Following the speakers and performers, students will attend the “Count Me In Afterparty” in the lobby of the Concert Hall.
