It will be a very special day at Assiniboine Park Zoo this Friday.
Hudson, the zoo’s 588-pound polar bear, turns two on October 11 and the zoo is pulling out all the stops to mark the occasion.
Festivities will begin at 10 a.m., with Hudson receiving special birthday presents and treats from his keepers. There will also be two zoo keeper talks planned outside his enclosure at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The first 500 visitors to the Assiniboine Park Zoo will receive a free “I Love Hudson” button to celebrate the day.
The public can visit the zoo daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during Thanksgiving weekend.
