
CFB Shilo (FILE)
A group of soldiers from CFB Shilo are returning home today from their recent tour of duty in Afghanistan.
About 60 soldiers were serving as part of the first group of Operation Attention and spent four months overseas. About 350 soldiers from several military units based at Shilo are serving with the operation in Afghanistan.
Training activities for Canadian personnel in Kabul began to wind down at the start of October. All deployed soldiers serving in Operation Attention will return to Canada by March 2014.
Families will greet their loved ones at 3 p.m. at the base just east of Brandon.
