The city’s homeless population was treated to a Thanksgiving feast at Siloam Mission on Monday.

The Winnipeg shelter served up a record-breaking 1,125 meals in just two hours. Tireless volunteers prepared for 950 guests, who indulged the traditional Thanksgiving foods with all the trimmings.

Model and actress Donna D’Errico (Playboy and Baywatch) helped to serve guests during the meal. She also signed the bathing suit she wore on the TV show to later be auctioned off in support of the shelter.

Siloam Mission also opened up the fourth floor of its building as a waiting area to avoid any lineups outside, where guests enjoyed entertainment from volunteers while they waited to be seated.
