It’s not enough that there’s snow in the forecast this weekend for parts of Manitoba, but now we’re talking about Christmas trees.
The city is asking Winnipeggers to help locate a suitable Christmas tree this year to be installed at City Hall.
Anyone with a large spruce tree — about 12 to 15 metres tall — is being asked to contact the city. Several potential tree candidates have come forward, but did not meet the criteria.
The tree must also be located in the front yard of the property for easy access, and be fully symmetrical with a single trunk and no brown needles.
Homeowners who would like to submit their tree for consideration are asked to call 311 or email 311@winnipeg.ca.
