An off-duty Winnipeg police officer led cops to the location of man who allegedly robbed a beer vendor on Saturday.
Police say a suspect held up the store in the 2100 block of Main Street at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night. The lone clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash after the suspect produced a weapon and fled on foot.
The off-duty officer followed the man and directed cops to the area of Templeton Avenue and Aikins Street where the suspect was arrested.
Milos Maroti, 28, of Winnipeg is facing charges and remains in custody.
