Churchill Travel Guide app (ITUNES)
Visitors to Churchill to visit Manitoba’s polar bears have a new digital tool to aide in their venture up north.
Frontiers North Adventures has launched the Churchill Travel Guide app (iTunes link) for iPhone, iPod and iPad. The free app provides travellers with knowledge about off-the-map attractions while bringing them even closer to subarctic wildlife and culture.
“We’ve created a very easy to use app that serves as a guidebook to Churchill and also gives travellers an elegant way to memorialize their visit,” said John Gunter, president and CEO of Frontiers North Adventures. “Seeing a polar bear up close for the first time is an amazing experience. Our guests love to share these encounters with their friends and family back home.”
The app also allows travellers to create journal entries to document every wildlife sighting or attraction, which can then be shared via social media networks.
Winnipeg-based digital media firm Tactica Interactive developed the app.
