Downtown Winnipeg BIZWhile traditional farmers’ markets may be winding down for the season, one popular downtown market is reinventing itself.

The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is moving its new farmers’ market indoors next month, and this time with a holiday twist.

Vendors will be selling their wares inside the Manitoba Hydro Place Gallery (360 Portage Avenue) on Thursday, November 14.

“When we purchase local, we promote a sense of place and pride for Winnipeg. It makes us feel better connected to our community,” said Stefano Grande, executive director of the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ. “We are thrilled to offer this important service to our members, residents, and community at-large.”

The market — which will offer up a selection of fresh, local produce and holiday-themed crafts for purchase — will run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
