Paralympic Sports Showcased at Parasport Festival

Canadian Paralympic CommitteeThe first-ever Parasport Festival is in Winnipeg this weekend, allowing the public to try out sports for people with a disability and the opportunity to meet the athletes behind them.

The Canadian Paralympic Committee is hosting the festival on Saturday at the Max Bell Centre on the University of Manitoba campus. Archery, para-athletics, sledge hockey and other sports will be highlighted from 2-6 p.m.

Manitoba Paralympians Colin Mathieson (wheelchair racing) and Rhea Schmidt (swimming) will also be on hand for a meet and greet.
