A 17-year-old female was taken to hospital with minor injuries on Monday after her vehicle collided with a train.
The accident happened on Highway 274 in Gilbert Plains just before 3:30 p.m. RCMP say the teen’s 2009 Colbalt was travelling southbound when it hit the side of an eastbound VIA Rail passenger train.
The crossing is reported to be equipped with crossing signs and flashing lights.
The Gilbert Plains teen was treated for minor injuries.
