Charges Laid in Tataskweyak Cree Nation Death

RCMP Crest LogoCharges have been laid against a 20-year-old man in connection to the shooting death of a woman on Tataskweyak Cree Nation last month.

Annette Freda Beardy-Spence was found deceased on October 29. An autopsy in Winnipeg attributed her death to that of a gunshot wound.

Craig John George Flett has since been charged with second-degree murder and made a court appearance in Thompson on Thursday.

Both the victim and accused were residents of Tataskweyak Cree Nation (Split Lake) and known to each other.
