A panel of experts will gather this coming week to discuss downtown Winnipeg’s investment potential.

Insights and expectations from local and national urban insiders will coincide with the launch of a new vision for the city’s SHED district. A video and mobile app will present a renewed outlook on what to expect in the coming years.

“There have been starts and stops for our downtown, but there are characteristics of this phase of growth that are unique in our history,” said Jino Distasio, director of urban studies at the University of Winnipeg. “These will have a significant impact on the end result.”

“Urbanomics 101, How to Profit from the Upcoming Boom in Downtown Winnipeg” will take place at the Winnipeg Convention Centre on Wednesday, November 6 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the seminar are free but seating is limited.
