A 42-year-old man has died after an apparent fall from a third storey window in the 100 block of Albert Street.
Winnipeg police were called just before midnight on Monday for the report of an injured man.
The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries.
The homicide unit is investigating and no further information has been released.
UPDATE: Thursday, November 7 — The victim has been identified as Christopher Paul Maier of Winnipeg. Adam John Perrier, 33, of Winnipeg has been charged with manslaughter, break and enter and forcible confinement. Police say a physical altercation between two men had occurred, forcing the victim to flee to his third floor suite for safety. He was followed by the suspect, which later resulted in the victim falling from a window.
