The City of Winnipeg has extended its yard waste collection period by two weeks.
With warmer weather sticking around this year, residents now have until November 29 (weather permitting) to put their yard waste out for curbside collection.
Yard waste must be placed into a reusable container without a lid, or a cardboard box or paper waste bag.
Plastic bags are not accepted in the program because they do not break down and will ruin the finished compost.
