
CC-130 Hercules (FORCES.GC.CA)
A search and rescue technician with the 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron will parachute out of a CC-130 Hercules aircraft above Winnipeg this morning.
As part of a live demonstration at Van Walleghem School, the parachuting is scheduled for a secure landing area, weather and operations permitting.
The exercise is set for 11 a.m. as part of the school’s Remembrance Day ceremony.
The squadron is based at 17 Wing Winnipeg and provide primary search and rescue response for the Trenton Search and Rescue Region, which extends from Quebec City to the British Columbia/Alberta border, and from the Canada/United States border to the North Pole.
