Winnipeg has been shortlisted as a potential location for a new 500-seat call centre.
Hinduja Global Solutions Canada Inc. (HGS Canada) would staff frontline customer service associates for incoming calls, as well as support and management level positions.
HGS Canada will now evaluate the local labour market in the hopes of locating hundreds of potential candidates. A job fair to recruit employees is already planned for November 29-30 at Red River College’s Notre Dame campus and applications are being accepted online.
“We are very pleased that HGS, one of Canada’s leading third party customer service companies is considering Winnipeg as the location for a substantial new operation,” said Marina R. James, president and CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc.
The company is no stranger to growth, having expanded to four new sites in Canada over the past three years.
