Officers observed a Dodge Avenger speeding and disobeying traffic signals on Jarvis Avenue near King Street at about 11:45 p.m. When the driver refused to pull over, Air 1 and the canine unit were called in to assist.
The vehicle continued northbound on King Street near Dufferin Avenue before the occupants stopped and fled to a residence in the 300 block of Polson Avenue.
The 17-year-old boy driving the vehicle was arrested and faces numerous charges, including driving without a licence. He was released on a promise to appear.
