Winnipeg police raided two homes this week, seizing nearly $1 million in marijuana and related equipment.
Police executed search warrants on Wednesday in the 200 block of Manitoba Avenue and 400 block of Alfred Avenue.
Police found 816 marijuana plants worth an estimated $913,920, six grams of cannabis marijuana worth $60, grow-op equipment worth $10,000, along with gold valued at another $10,000. The search also turned up $6,500 in cash.
A 49-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested and faces several charges. He was released on a promise to appear.
