Operation Red Nose is back for another season, providing safe rides home to holiday revellers for a donation.
Safety Services Manitoba and Manitoba Public Insurance launched the 19th annual campaign on Friday, adding La Broquerie and Steinbach to the participating communities this year.
“ORN is a great program, dedicated to keeping Manitobans safe during the holidays — and SSM is committed to making Manitoba the safest place to live and work,” said Judy Murphy, president and CEO of Safety Services Manitoba.
Operation Red Nose opens for service in Winnipeg and most other communities on Friday, November 29 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. and wraps up on New Year’s Eve. Other participating Manitoba communities are Arborg/Riverton, Brandon, Flin Flon, Gimli, Portage la Prairie, Selkirk, Shilo, Steinbach/La Broquerie, The Pas and Thompson.
