Three people are facing charges after a stolen quad was recovered in the RM of Portage la Prairie on November 10.

RCMP on patrol shortly after 3 a.m. spotted a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am on Road 71 towing a quad with an individual riding on it. Police began a pursuit after the vehicle refused to pull over.

The suspects abandoned the quad and fled in the car, which police later located empty north of Langruth, Manitoba. With the help of a police dog and a brief foot pursuit, three people were eventually apprehended.

Kenneth Sutherland, 22, Austin Houle, 19, both of Sandy Bay First Nation, and a 16-year-old boy from Portage la Prairie were charged. The three appeared in provincial court earlier this week.
