Manitobans wishing to donate to the Canadian Red Cross to assist with typhoon relief efforts in the Philippines can do so at all Liquor Marts.
Starting this weekend and until December 9, Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries will match all donations up to $50,000, including those made at the Casinos of Winnipeg.
Customers at the casinos can make cash or cheque donations at the coat check areas of both Club Regent Casino and McPhillips Station Casino as of today. Liquor Mart patrons can donate at all locations in Winnipeg and throughout the province beginning Saturday. All proceeds will be collected and donated to the Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Red Cross.
“Support from Manitobans has been overwhelming,” said Shawn Feely, provincial director for Manitoba Red Cross. “We acknowledge and sincerely appreciate Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries’ generosity, commitment and contribution in providing additional aid relief efforts for the millions of people who have been left homeless and risk hunger, injury and infection.”
