Manitoba Olympian Janine Hanson will address 110 students today at the United Way — Youth United Conference.
Hanson will show video of the race that won her an Olympic silver medal in women’s eight rowing and she’ll talk about her journey to the Olympic podium in an effort to inspire and motivate young athletes.
Students from 21 schools will be attending the presentation at the Holiday Inn Winnipeg South.
Hanson, currently in her third trimester of pregnancy with twins, won silver at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and is a two-time World Championship silver medalist in women’s eight rowing.
