Two Manitoba Bison football players have received league honours after their 2013 came to an end earlier this month.
Running back Anthony Coombs, 21, has been selected as 2013 CIS football first team All-Canadian, while slotback Nic Demski, 19, was named as 2013 CIS football second team All-Canadian.
“It is always impressive when our Bison players are recognized with CIS All-Canadian team selection,” Bisons head coach Brian Dobie said.
“Anthony and Nic have now received this national award in three consecutive seasons and that is a fantastic and amazing feat. Both have been a dynamic reason for our strong 2013 season and proud of their accomplishment for this year and the last two seasons.”
The Bisons advanced to the Canada West Championship after a 5-3 regular season record, making it their longest playoff run since winning the 2007 Vanier Cup.
