An open house this coming Tuesday will give the public a chance to view proposed plans for infrastructure improvements in the Polo Park area.
The city and province plan to fund an expansion of St. Matthews Avenue from Route 90 to Empress Street, among other improvements.
Plans also call for improving St. James Street — voted the worst road in the province last year — from Maroons Road to Ellice Avenue.
Other construction will see intersection improvements at Ellice Avenue/St. James Street, sidewalk improvements, additions and upgrades to the existing land drainage system, and connections to existing and future active transportation corridors.
The drop-in format open house will take place Tuesday, November 26 from 4-8 p.m. at Canad Inns Polo Park, 1405 St. Matthews Avenue.
Construction is to begin in 2014 and scheduled for completion in 2015.
