Local singing duo Keith and Renée have turned to crowdfunding to raise support their sixth studio album.

Through a campaign on Indiegogo, the pair has 25 days left to raise $12,000.

“We noticed many artists lately have been reaching out to their fans in this unique way by getting them involved in the process of making a record; through their donations they receive all kinds of cool gifts from yoga classes, birthday calls to house concerts etc.,” Renée Lamoureux said.

“We thought this would be a lot of fun involving fans in our journey as we are about to embark on a recording trip to Nashville next week working with a great producer Billy Decker.”

Based on the amount fans donate, they’re rewarded with gifts and experiences according to the tier level they qualify for. For example, donating $75 will get you a one-hour hot yoga session with the singers, and an advance download of the album before it’s released.

The campaign comes to an end on December 20.
