A holiday tradition of trimming the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s Christmas tree is set for Sunday, December 1.
The fun-filled afternoon will include hot chocolate and holiday treats, with an appearance by Santa Claus himself. WAG elves will assist in helping the public create their own artful Christmas and Hanukkah ornaments to hang on the tree.
The WAG is also teaming up with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet to promote their annual production of the Nutcracker. Filbert the Bear, the loveable character from the show, will be on hand along with a troupe of dancers.
The tree-trimming party runs from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
