The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed right-handed pitcher David Hatt and catcher Matt Albaugh for the 2014 season.
Hatt, 23, comes from playing with the NCAA Division II Wilmington University Wildcats. The Hamilton, Ontario native went 7-1 with a 2.08 ERA in 16 starts and 91 innings pitched.
Albaugh, 23, posted a .310 batting average during his four-year collegiate career with the NCAA II Kutztown University Golden Bears.
“He throws well, receives well and has a plan at the plate. He was very consistent through four years of college,” manager Rick Forney said of Albaugh.
The signings bring the Goldeyes roster to three for the season so far, including the signing of pitcher Jason Jarvis in October.
