Winnipeg Police Launch Annual CheckStop Program

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have launched their annual Festive Season CheckStop program, targeting impaired drivers during the holiday season.

Throughout December, motorists can expect to see an increased presence of police officers the road. Police will be focusing on areas where alcohol is being consumed such as bars, restaurants, Christmas parties and socials.

The names of drivers charged with impaired driving related offences will once again be made public.

On Tuesday, Manitoba RCMP will launch their province-wide CheckStop program.
