Grow-Op Busted in City’s Earl Grey Neighbourhood

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police closed in on a marijuana grow-op on Tuesday, rounding up 614 plants from a residence.

The bust happened in the 500 block of Fleet Avenue and resulted in the arrest of a 64-year-old Winnipeg man.

Police say the seized marijuana has an estimated street value of $687,680. Police also found almost four pounds of dry marijuana worth $9,500, six grams of weed oil worth $150, and grow-op equipment worth $7,000.

The suspect was released on a promise to appear and faces numerous drug-related charges.
