The Manitoba Legislative Building will throw open its doors on Saturday to host the provincial government’s annual public open house.

From 1-3 p.m. on December 7, the public will be welcomed by Premier Greg Selinger, cabinet members and members of the legislative assembly. The offices of the Speaker of the house and the lieutenant-governor will be open to the public as well as the legislative reading room, party caucus rooms and offices, and the office of the clerk of the legislative assembly.

Music will be provided by choirs from École Assiniboine, Princess Margaret School, Meadows West School and Parc La Salle School and the flute ensemble from Nelson McIntyre Collegiate. A choir of MLAs, led by Speaker Daryl Reid, will perform at 3 p.m.

Complimentary festive seasonal photos will be taken in the Rotunda, and all those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or unwrapped toy for the Christmas Cheer Board.
