Baseball Training Centre to Open in January

Home Run Sports Training CentreA new indoor baseball training facility for amateur athletes will open in Winnipeg on January 2.

The Home Run Sports Training Centre, powered by Rawlings Baseball, is an 11,000-square-foot facility that will enable kids of all ages to train all year long.

Seven local baseball and softball enthusiasts are behind the centre, which will be located at 905 King Edward Street.

The seven co-operators of the facility are Scott Neiles, Winnipeg Goldeyes GM Andrew Collier, Dave Nychyk, Jonathan Ali, Ray Moroz, Donnie Smith and Faron Asham.

The first clinic at the training centre will be a catcher’s clinic January 24-25. The lead instructor will be Chris Robinson of the San Diego Padres.
