City Lifts Residential Parking Ban

December 13, 2013 7:08 AM | News

City of WinnipegThe City of Winnipeg has lifted the residential parking ban as of 7:01 a.m. this morning.

The ban was put into place after the city received 17 cm of snowfall last week, causing some residential streets to be deemed impassable due to large crater-like ruts.

The city says if some streets in a snow zone have been missed or only partially cleared, citizens are advised to call 311 to report that their street has been missed. Crews will return in the coming days to address outstanding snow clearing requirements.

The regular snow route parking Ban remains in effect daily on streets designated as snow routes from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. until March 1, 2014.
