Three teenagers were busted after they busted into a grocery store Monday by smashing through a large window.
Winnipeg police said the trio smashed into a grocery store on Dufferin Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on Monday and proceeded to ransack the store, swiping a cash register with cash, food and other products. They then decided to turn over a bunch of display tables, causing about $5,000 worth of damage.
They then ran away to a nearby apartment block, where they were tracked by the Canine Unit and arrested.
Two 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old male face numerous charges, including breaking, entering and theft, and mischief under $5,000. One of the 17-year-olds was released on a promise to appear, but the others were detained.
