The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are welcoming back defensive end Jason Vega for the 2014 season.
Vega, 26, spent last season between the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys in the NFL, but played the 2011 and 2012 seasons with the Blue and Gold. While in Winnipeg, Vega appeared in 27 games racking up 66 tackles, 12 sacks and one fumble recovery.
“Jason is a character guy with great athletic ability. He is not only a great football player, but a real quality person and will be a welcomed addition to our locker room,” said general manager Kyle Walters.
