The Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival has chosen its indoor performers who were competing for coveted spots in next year’s festival.
Through a lottery, festival organizers randomly selected 118 performers to fill 55 local, 34 national, 22 international and seven kids venue spots. More than 323 companies applied.
Six provinces are represented in the festival — Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec — in addition to international groups from the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, France and the United States who will be making the trek to Winnipeg this summer.
The 2014 Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival runs from July 16-27, 2014.
