Garbage - Recycling

(CITY OF WINNIPEG)

Recycle and garbage collection is taking longer than normal due to weather conditions, the City of Winnipeg says.

Cold temperatures, gusty winds and blowing snow is slowing crews down and putting them behind schedule. The city says crews will be out into the evening to make sure Tuesday’s collection is complete. Residents are asked to be patient and leave their carts out until items are collected.

There is no garbage/recycling pickup on Wednesday (Christmas Day), pushing back the weekly schedule by one day and into Saturday for residents with Friday collection.
